A delegation from Capita Translation and Interpreting will be visiting the historic German town of Wiesbaden from 6-8 November, at the annual TEKOM conference. The exhibition is fast becoming the biggest show on advances in technical communication in Europe, and attracts some of the biggest companies within the EU and beyond.
The main focus of the conference this year, like many shows in the communication industry, is how to meet the rising challenge of effectively managing the content explosion which has been underpinned by the growth of mobile technology (and its increasing affordability). A large part of that challenge concerns localisation and translation issues, and the team at Capita TI is looking forward to swapping notes and thoughts with some of the world’s leading experts on these issues.
With the technology curve relentlessly getting steeper, localised content will be pivotal in promoting the corporate message to an international audience and as companies look to capitalise on the momentum of the economic recovery, exporting is set to play a major role. Marketing communications is an important consideration and many companies will be looking to formulate an approach for making their content reach more people in 2014.
Companies with an international localisation strategy will be leading this drive so our philosophy and advice to our customers this year is clear – before communications are even drafted a localisation strategy needs to be in place.
The Tekom team have prepared a remarkable line-up of guest speakers who are aiming to cover a wide range of the technical communications spectrum. The conference program has now been released and Capita-TI are particularly looking forward to the sessions with Scott Abel on Strategic Video Storytelling and Is Your Content Ready To Go Global with Kit Brown-Hoekstra.
On the Capita TI stand – Booth 414, Halle 4 – our team is available to discuss your localisation challenge, demonstrate how we can help, and discuss with you some of the advances and possibilities being realised through the increased use of Machine Translation technology. Come and join us for a complimentary cup of English Tea, whilst we get to know your business and its future requirements.
If you are making the journey to Weisbadden we would love to hear from you. Capita experts Kris Berry, Kris Smith and Terry Lambert will be present on booth 414 (hall 4) and you can also follow our Twitter feed (@capita_ti) for live updates on the day
