Capita Translation and Interpreting (Capita TI) and the Gurkha Welfare Trust (GWT) are working in partnership to source new Nepalese interpreters who will work in the Surrey, Berkshire & Hampshire area.
Currently, there is a shortfall of qualified Nepalese interpreters…
and Capita TI is looking to find new ways of supporting the Nepalese communities, particularly across the South East of England, where demand for Nepalese interpretation is at its highest.
Capita TI and GWT have developed a job specification which has been distributed by the GWT to Gurkha communities throughout the UK. Capita TI is aiming to recruit interpreters who are willing to undergo independent training with a view to becoming specialist NHS interpreters.
The training, provided by our partner, will qualify the candidates to NVQ Level 3 Community Interpreting standard.
In addition, Capita TI will assist candidates in making arrangements to receive student loans to fund their studies and work with them throughout the intensive course.
