“Pay as you go” telephone interpreting service

Capita Translation and interpreting (Capita TI) announced today that it has launched a “pay as you go” telephone interpreting service.

Public sector organisations requiring telephone interpreting, such as the police, NHS and councils usually do so in high volumes, and commonly access the service on a contractual basis. Capita TI’s “pay as you go” service enables organisations who require the service on an occasional basis instant access by calling a dedicated telephone number, following which, the charge will appear on their telephone bill.

Ian Hobbs, Public Services Director at Capita TI said “We are delighted to launch this market leading product, which will benefit non-English speakers and limited English speakers. It provides instant access to a telephone interpreting service, without the need to enter into contractual agreements or pay any up-front costs. We are currently the only Language Service Provider in the UK to offer this product”.
