New remote interpreting system – Capita LiveLINK

Following a three-month pilot, we have just launched our brand-new remote interpreting service, Capita LiveLINK.

This cutting-edge interpreting service is available in 250 languages, and is accessible 24 hours per day. We already provide a high-quality face-to-face interpreting service to the public sector, which includes police forces, NHS organisations and local government organisations. In the past, our telephone interpreting service has been outsourced to a third-party provider, but the launch of Capita LiveLINK now means we will provide clients with a fully comprehensive interpreting service.

Capita LiveLINK is not just suitable for the public sector, but any organisation who needs to communicate with non-English speakers in an immediate capacity.

Historically, face-to-face interpreting has been the preferred method of communicating with non-English speakers, but due to the critical nature of the work the public sector undertakes, and the increase of globalisation in the private sector, more and more organisations are now looking for an immediate solution; Capita LiveLINK is that solution.

How does the platform work?

Clients can connect to LiveLINK via the telephone, the web, or smartphone app. All our clients have a unique PIN to enter, and then they simply choose the required language and connect with one of our interpreters in a matter of seconds.

The great thing about Capita LiveLINK is its flexibility, as you can set up a third party conference call, or reconnect to the interpreter after the call has ended.

The key benefit of Capita LiveLINK is that it saves time, as there is no need to speak to an operator, and it’s so easy to access.

Being able to access the platform via an app, which is available to download on Apple and Android devices, means that no matter where a customer requiring the service is, it’s always available to them. This may be a social worker in someone’s home, or a police officer on the street.

Who are our interpreters?

We have established our own pool of experienced interpreters to provide the Capita LiveLINK service, meaning we have full-control over the pool, allowing us to enhance the service to meet our clients’ requirements. We have received excellent feedback regarding the platform from our interpreters and Dariusz Wilkowski, one of our Polish interpreters said:
