Business Development Manager Sally Haywood joins us from our recent acquisition of International Translation Resources (ITR). Sally tells us about her experience as a linguist and her passion for languages.

Why did you want to work in the language industry?
What makes you get out of bed in the morning?
My 3 daughters and my dog!
What are your hobbies outside of work?
When I am not ferrying my daughters to and from their hobbies, I like to play the piano and am involved with the musical side of the local amateur dramatic society. I also sing with Ripon Choral Society. I love pilates and have been attending classes for about 7 years. I am also the vice chair of governors at our local primary school.
Do you speak any other languages?
I speak German quite well, French and Russian moderately well and a tiny bit of Czech!
If you weren’t a Business Development Manager, what would you love to be doing?
If I hadn’t gone into the language industry I would have loved to have become a midwife.

Angela Hewitt, she is a fantastic virtuoso pianist from Canada.
