Home to some of the world’s largest corporations, boasting a range of globally recognised and respected brands, Japan is seen as a western-style economy surrounded by emerging markets. Around 450 British companies currently operate in Japan, and visible high-street names include Lush, Topshop, Burberry, HSBC, GlaxoSmithKline and Rolls-Royce.

As the 3rd largest economy in the world, Japan remains a strong player in international business and a world economic superpower that shouldn’t be ignored.

There are plenty of business opportunities in Japan across a range of industries, including manufacturing, consumer goods, high-tech and software, life sciences and energy.

Taking companies to new markets
