Capita TI in support of The TAUS Review

TAUS (Translation Automation User Society) is seen by many within the industry to be the holy grail for information and resources to support the language services sector. The association provides data and research that gives companies in the field the knowledge and capability to grow, mature and better compete. TAUS also host a series events throughout the year that are aimed at sharing best practice and if that wasn’t enough, they also run numerous webinars that address common problems that companies may be facing in the language services industry.

Capita TI attended the TAUS 2014 Annual Conference on 27 & 28 October 2014 in Vancouver. The conference looked at strategies in the industry, sharing best practice and raising the visibility of the industry in the marketplace. During this event, Antonio Tejada, Strategic Business Development Manager for Capita TI, participated in a panel discussion on “Evaluating MT within your workflow.”

In addition to attending events held by TAUS, Capita TI keep up-to-date with TAUS’ white papers and blogs, as well as regularly attending the informative webinars that the association host. Following TAUS’ social media activity is another good source of information and a great way to keep up-to-date with their upcoming events – the company should be followed by everyone in the language services industry.

The think tank has just launched another great initiative, and has started to produce a quarterly magazine – The TAUS Review. This magazine, free to all, will make the technology surrounding translation more accessible and will help to break down barriers in language, to allow for better communication around the world. Content for the magazine comes from Africa, Americas, Asia and Europe ensuring a global reach of ideas and opinions on the industry. The differing thoughts on developments in the language business and technology from these regions will prove for an interesting read!

You can also read a blog article produced by TAUS if you would like to find out more about their motivation to invest in a new magazine for the industry:
